台湾の台中市にある日本のクラフツマンシップによって作られた鞄をメインとした商品を取り扱うセレクトショップ。

台湾人のクライアントから、日本の商品を紹介する店舗なので、デザイナーも日本人にお願いしたいとのことでスタートしたプロジェクトです。

和の要素の鞄というわけでは無く、あくまで日本のファッションで先端を行くデザイン性の高い数種類のメーカーの商品を並べるため、インテリアデザインをあまり偏った趣向のデザインとはせず、どんな商品が来てもなじむようにデザインをまとめていきました。

店舗は吹き抜けのある1階に商品の陳列棚とお客が気軽に来店できるようにと、小さなカフェカウンターを設けています。 レンガ調タイルとオークの棚板や白く塗装されたカウンターなどで暖かく柔らかい印象のインテリアデザインとしています。

2階はクラフツマンシップの商品をより知ってもらう為にキーケースなどの革小物を作れるワークショップのスペースとなっています。 1階の店舗とは違い、“ファクトリー”の要素を出す為に、脚立を模した棚板やインダストリアルなランプを利用しています。

A specialty shop in Taichung City, Taiwan.

Its main commodities are bags made by Japanese artisans.This project began with the desire of a Taiwanese client to have a Japanese designer for a shop selling Japanese products.

The commodities are bags with sophisticated and fashionable designs from Japan, made by a few Japanese brands, rather than traditional Japanese-style bags.Therefore, the shop did not have an excessively eccentric design.

With an interior design providing a warm and soft impression, such as brick-style tiles, oak shelves, and white coated countertops, any products can fit into the shop.

To provide a better understanding of craftsman products, a workshop space was made on the second floor for making leather goods, such as key cases. In contrast to the first floor, factory elements were enhanced, including display shelves resembling stepladders, and industrial lighting.
